Sport is beautiful. It keeps us healthy, helps us overcome social barriers and has an extremely strong power. We at CSIT know this and use this energy to achieve our goals.
However, sport can also be a breeding ground for social exclusion, harassment and abuse. Harassment and abuse often results from an abuse of authority, and can be based on religion, color, creed, ethnic origin, physical attributes, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, socio-economic status and athletic ability. They can occur as a single incident or as a series of incidents. Harassment and abuse can be deliberate, unsolicited and coercive.
CSIT fully supports the initiative Safe Sport by the IOC. Find the IOC Safeguarding Toolkit which helps sports organizations and federations to build up measures against Harassment and abuse in sport below and in the Download Centre.
