It is a sad moment for the whole CSIT family. With deepest sorrow we have to inform all our friends that Jens Jörgen Nygaard passed away recently on August 27 at the age of only 68. His disappearance after long-term illness is a big lost for his family, the CSIT community and for the danish CSIT member DAI. We have lost a very good friend and a very competent colleague.
Sport has for many years played an important role in the life of Jens Jörgen. In 2002 he was elected Vice-President of DAI. He found great interest in DAI's many sporting activities - from training offerings to weak elderly to international championships. From 2006 till 2015 he chaired the CSIT TC Football. Beside his volunteer work for DAI and CSIT he was deeply involved in policy and from 1998 to 2006 he was mayor in his local municipality and in a short period also member of the Danish Parliament.
Jens Jörgen has always represented the best of the workers and amateur sport in Denamrk and in the CSIT. We all will for sure miss him a lot.
