Gabriela Guzman and Carolina Rebolledo are the tallest members of the Mexican team participating in the 5th CSIT World Sports Games in Riga. Both basketball players are 1.90 meters tall. But Gisela Garciá, only 1.85 m, usually scores most points of the “equipo mexicano”: An average of 25 points per game. The Italians know this better than other athletes: 110 AICS team members and friends came to the WSG to Riga, including families with children. Not everybody was quite happy about the weather on the opening day of the 5th CSIT World Sports Games in Riga. But a female trio from sunny Mexico enjoyed the raindrops. “We will dance in the rain”, they said as representatives of the strong Mexican team with 258 participants. But finally they used an umbrella while dancing for better weather outside the Congress Center in the Latvian capital. But the rain won’t wash away the great spirit of the games anyhow.
30 Mamanet teams are participating in the 5th CSIT World Sports Games 2017 in Riga: One each from Latvia, Mexico, Austria, two from Italy and 25 (!) from Israel. But Mamanet is not just a sports discipline based on volleyball rules with slight modifications.
