Just right before Christmas CSIT is publishing its regular annual online magazine, the CSIT news.
Important decisions cannot be postponed. Therefore, CSIT took a completely new approach due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the extensive curfews, the prevailing travel ban for many countries and also ExCom members. The ExCom meeting scheduled for Friday in Vienna was cancelled at short notice and took place online instead. Topics included the not yet confirmed CSIT Individual Championships 2020, the congress to be held in autumn 2020 and the CSIT World Sports Games 2021 and 2023.
For 2020 there are still many plans and also events. Possible bookings of flights and accommodation should not yet be made - on the advice of ExCom - or only with cancellation insurance in case of cancellations or postponements due to the pandemic. First of all please wait for the results of the "preliminary registrations" acc. to our official event-invitations and then coordinate with the CSIT General Secretariat and our local host before booking!
Other topics discussed in Vienna were the update on seniors' activities and the two EU-funded CSIT projects Bridges and YOUAca, which are also currently suspended due to Covid-19. The 3rd Bridges Meeting in Thessaloniki (Greece) had to be cancelled due to Corona as well as the YOUAca Meeting scheduled for Vienna (Austria) in the context of the ExCom Meeting. Again, the development of the Covid-19 pandemic has to be awaited and a new schedule has to be set.
Follow our updates on further developments, which will be announced regularly on Social Media and at www.csit.tv!
