CSIT World Sports Games 2015 - 4th edition. Less than 40 days from now. On Monday 8th of June CSIT President Harald Bauer will open the 4th CSIT World Sports Games, which will be held in the city of Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy, from 7th to 14th of June, 2015. The Games are hosted by Italian CSIT member organization AICS, Associazione Italiana Cultura e Sport.

Registration deadline

7th of May is the ultimate registration and payment deadline for the 4th Games. Still one week is left to sign in for this multicultural event on the northern Adriatic coast. To guarantee an effective registration, AICS provides an on-line registration platform, which will guide and support through the fulfilling of the procedure. By clicking on the related banner on the official website www.wsg2015.com each user enters the WSG2015 official platform, where the registration procedure has already been set.

Italy and Lignano are ready

While registrations for CSIT World Sports Games 2015 are about to close, thousands of participants from more than 30 different countries and 50 sport unions and associations have already registered to take part in the 14 Official Championships during the games as well as 40 unofficial demonstration sports with experienced leaders and coaches. The LIGNOC (organizing committee) will elaborate an exact time schedule for all official championships two week prior to the Games.

Patronage of the Presidency of the Italian Council of Ministers

It is a high and prestigious award for CSIT: the World Sports Games 2015 have obtained the patronage of the Presidency of the Italian Council of Ministers which is normally reserved for high-relief initiatives cultural, social scientific, artistic or - as in this case - sports. The Italian Government confirms its attention to the world of sport, giving the CSIT Games 2015 a certificate that testifies to the work carried out so far by the organising committee and approved by the highest offices of state, which want to celebrate in this way the goals of the event.

CSIT at the Sport Accord Convention in Sochi

CSIT President Harald Bauer used his presence at the Sport Accord Convention 2015 in Sochi to promote the CSIT World Sports Games among the highest representatives of the sports world. He saw a beautiful and blooming city on the coast of the Black Sea which offers modern sports facilities of best quality and equipment. "I can very well imagine to once organize our World Sports Games in this beautiful region. Next year the Sports Convention will take place again in Sochi and I will continue negotiating with the Russian sports leaders and the City government", president Bauer reported enthusiastic.

CSIT solidarity project Cuba

The CSIT Congress 2015 in Lignano has decided to follow the initiative of HAPOEL to support the CTC - Central Trabjadores de Cuba, a member of COPADET (the continental member of CSIT). CSIT President Harald Bauer took the lead and the responsibility and visited the leadership of CTC in the cuban capital Havanna. He introduced the actual path of CSIT policy, as the cuban decision takers did not have contact with CSIT due to longterm economical reasons.

5th CSIT World Sports Games 2017 in Riga - Latvia

The CSIT ExCom awarded during its recent meeting in Tel Aviv/Israel CSIT member union LTSA (Latvian Sport for All Association) and the capital Riga to host the 5th edition of the CSIT World Sports Games to be held in June 2017. Second candidate Hapoel with the city of Eilat in Israel resigned from its candidature after the detailed evaluation report of the Working Group World Sports Games done by CSIT Sports Director Henk Bouchoms and Vice President Desislava Yagodin but announced to renew its candidacy for the CSIT WSG 2019 with brand new sports facilities, especially for swimming and athletics.
