The international event was the first outcome of the CSIT working group on international projects and was develop in co-operation with the working group Young Leaders. Dalila Barbanera and Valeria Gherardini from AICS leaded the seminar.
Altogether there were 35 participants in the age between 18 and 30 years old from the member organisations ASKÖ (Austria), TUL (Finland), AICS (Italy), BSWF (Bulgaria), FSGT (France) and a special delegation from the German Sport Youth.
The main idea of the seminar was to promote a shared responsibility between young people and those responsible about the promotion of the participation of young people into sport and social policies.
In the first days the young participants discussed in working groups the question what kind of needs young people have when they do sport and social activities.
Later on the group met adults, who are responsibile of youth and social policies in the member unions. Together strategies to promote youth involvement in sports were developed. On the last day of the Trans-National seminar AICS organised a conference for all participants, national and international policy makers and the local government to present the outcomes of the seminar.
The young participants presented their strategies and offered concrete proposals to improve youth involvement in sports. One of the aims of the participants was the extension of the CSIT World Sports Games for new and non-competitive sports.
All the attendees of the conference appreciated the work of the young people and emphasised the importance of the involvement of youth in sports.
Beside the theoretical work the seminar offered unique opportunities for cultural exchange and the strengthening of the international network within young people in CSIT. Each group presented social activities and typical sports of their countries. Further more the delegations brought traditional food and drinks which the participants tasted together.
There was also some time to experience the beautiful surrounding of Cesenatico during a cultural trip to the history-charged city of Ravenna.
