CSIT Young Leaders Seminar & 8th International Workers' Sports Festival
First of all the CSIT would like to congratulate the organizer BAWS in particular President Kostadin Parzulov - Balkan Workers' Sport Federation and BWSF President Desislava Yagodin (Bulgarian Workers' Sport Federation) on this successful and tremendous event; furthermore on 110 years of Workers' Sports and 20 years of Workers' Federation.

The CSIT was represented by President Harald Bauer, Secretary General Wim Hoeijenbos, Executive Committee Members Moncef Bartegi, Olivier Comont and Administrative Secretary Wolfgang Burghardt.

A total of 84 workers' sports clubs took part in the Festival, the number of workers being nearly 1,900, from Bulgaria and 19 other countries from Europe, Asia, and Africa, namely Austria, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Finland, France, Israel, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Switzerland, Tunisia and Turkey. The participants in the Festival competed in sixteen kinds of sports: mini-football, beach football, volleyball, beach volleyball, bowling, tennis, table tennis, chess, bridge, street-ball, darts, track-and-field athletics, swimming, tug-of-war, shooting with air gun, and petanque.
In the all-round ranking by nations, the first prize was won by the team of NPP Kozloduy, followed by ATOM SPORT Russia on the second place, and the third place was won by the team of Belarus.
Move Together - CSIT Young Leaders Seminar
Within the framework of these games also a "CSIT Young Leaders Seminar" has been held in Albena.
This Seminar gathered 12 participants, young leaders, representatives of CSIT members from Portugal, China, Romania, Finland, Bulgaria, Israel, France, Switzerland and Austria.

This event, organised in cooperation with the Pan European Regional Council (of International Trade Union Confederation) and the Bulgarian Workers Sport Federation, is a part of the CSIT Youth program and aimed to give young leaders, the future leaders of our organisations, a plateform to exchanges their experiences, ideas and also create common projects.

- According to the need and interest of the CSIT Union members ;
- According to all activities implemented in each CSIT organisation members ;
- According to the importance for the CSIT (and its members) to take part in an international project and take part in the international sport movement ;
- According to the context and general program for the next years (2013 ...)
- According to the specificity of the workers movement worldwide
... this seminar helped very much the CSIT identifying and potentially building projects, which will involve several CSIT members (EU and Non-EU).

President Bauer was very delighted with the outcome and thanked Youth Director Comont for his brillant job as chairman. The results will then be presented in the next CSIT Young Leaders Conference and the General Assembly in Agrigento / Sicily, October 5th- 10th, 2010.
