General Assembly 2010 in Agrigento / IT

From October 4th - 11th the CSIT General Assembly, the 3^rd Young Leaders Conference, the Technical Commissions Assembly and an Executive Committee meeting took place in Sicily.

CSIT President Harald Bauer welcomed the CSIT family - almost 100 official delegates from all over the world - to these CSIT events. Our Italian friends and member union ACSI and Agrigento a wonderful place in the south-west of Sicily / Italy acted as host of the General Assembly 2010, which has been perfectly organized by the team of ACSI. For that reason CSIT President Harald Bauer cordially thanked ACSI President Antonio Viti for his warm hospitality and exceeding efforts.

 

At summery temperatures and surrounded by many "World Culture Heritage" sights a lot of very important CSIT meetings were hold with the highlight "General Assembly". In the following you can find the main issues and milestones:

• "CSIT World Sports Games in Tallinn 2010" - a great success
• Strategic business plan of the CSIT

• Results of the "Young Leaders Conference"
• "WADA Agreement" concerning the "Acceptance of the World Anti-Doping Code"
• Eligibility for participation of athletes in CSIT Championships
• Opening of CSIT-Championships for companies and also other federations, but under different financial conditions
• Exclusion of inactive non-corresponding member unions
• Proposal for amendments and adoption of the CSIT statutes
