Cultural Programme / 2nd CSIT World Sports Games

In addition to the sport competitions, different entertaining activities will be provided for the participants of the CSIT World Sports Games.

Soon after the arrival, on 2nd July, activities introducing Estonian culture take place in the Old Town of Tallinn, free-of-charge. The next day, on 3rd July, the citizens' attention is focused on the participants of the CSIT marching through the town streets to the Kalev Stadium.

Big Opening Ceremony in the Kalev Stadium

The program of the opening ceremony at the stadium tends to turn out exciting, starting with lighting the fire, some speeches and ending with a live music party, extreme tricks and a spectacular finale. Guest performers are expected from Finland, Sweden, Denmark and other countries.

A Gala concert takes place at the end of the fourth competition day , 4th July. The grand program in the brand-new cultural centre Solaris bears the name ‘Beginning of Light' and is arranged by authors known on the international arena.

The final and more juvenile party is planned for the seventh night of July, right after the official final ceremony in the Town Hall square.

The main activities of the 2nd CSIT World Sports Games are getting a more distinct shape, but everything is not yet finally settled. The organizers have still some ideas and surprises in store for those visiting Tallinn in mid-summer of 2010.
