Achieving the overwhelming majority of 40 out of 40 votes Dr. Seyed Amir Hosseini (former acting President) became the new president of Iranian Workers Sport Federation Assembly AFWSI for the next period of four years.

With the presidency of Gholamreza Shabani Bahar, Deputy Minister of Public Sport Development and the attendance of Shahrokh Shahnazi, General Secretary of National Olympic Academy, Dr. Sadeghi-far, Social and Cultural deputy and Director General of ministerial department of the Ministry of Cooperative, Labor and Social Welfare and the presence of all other members, voting Assembly of Workers Sport Federation of Iran, Dr. Seyed Amir Hosseini achieved the majority of the votes and became president for the next four years.

Five candidates were competing for the title as Presidency of the Federation; Seyed Amir Hosseini, Shahriar Ehteshamzadeh, Ali Badi, and Mahmoud Alizadeh and Mohammad Soltani. Mahmoud Alizade was absent and Shahriar Ehteshamzadeh withdrew from the election. Competing with the two other candidates Seyed Amir Hosseini achieved 40 votes out of 40, getting hundred per cent of the votes.

New President of AFWSI, Dr. Seyed Amir Hosseini provided an explanation on the function of AFWSI, its accomplishments, its active participation in various games and competitions in recent months. 



Dr. Seyed Amir Hosseini carried various responsibilities in numerous organizations such as Head of Physical Education of the Ministry of Education, General Secretary of National Olympic Committee, Head of National Olympic Academy, Head of Handball Federation and Acting President of Chess and Fencing Federation.
