CSIT Leadership at the European Union

Since Harald Bauer took over the presidency, the CSIT with its member unions is applying for European Union subsidies. Therefore President Harald Bauer, General Secretary Wolfgang Burghardt, responsible for EU projects, Melanie Erasim and CSIT Young Leaders Working Group delegate Corina Korner visited the European Parliament as well as the "European Commission, Unit Sport in Directorate - General for Education & Culture" from May 6th to May 8th.

More than 2500 athletes at the CSIT World Sports Games registered

The 3. CSIT World Sports Games 2013 will take place from June 2th - 9th on the famous "Gold Coast" at the "Black Sea" in Varna / Bulgaria. More than 2.500 athletes from 32 nations all over the world are booked for the big amateur sports festival and will compete in 20 different kinds of sports. The CSIT supports the IOC in its fight for a clean sports and therefore signed the WADA Code in 2010. As a consequence Anti-Doping measures will be taken during the Varna Games; the first time in the 100 year long history of the Workers Sport Movement.

CSIT President Harald Bauer is attending the 15th IOC - World Conference on Sport for All

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is going to hold its 15th World Conference on Sport for All from 24 to 27 April in Lima, Peru. The Conference will focus on the practical implementation of sport for all programmes and will give the opportunity to sports and government representatives, athletes, United Nations agencies, NGOs and academics from around the world to share their experience and expertise. CSIT President Harald Bauer is one of the participants at the IOC-Conference in Peru.
